At the end of the semester, this Unit should allow to:
- to understand the evolution of the world political history – 1914-2013
- an introduction to the basic concepts of geopolitics
- to grasp the basic features of the world main area studies
- a critical analyses of the main developing trends
1. Realise the need for a scientific analysis of recent History and international olitics
2. Correctly use concepts central to international politics of the last 70 years.
3. Critically analyse core issues of the international politics of the last 70 years.
Theory-practical classes consist of a set of activities that include the presentation of information, sometimes using texts previously made available to students, usually through multimedia presentations, analysis of written documents, films and pictures, graphs and tables.

Approval in this module requires:
(i) to be present in 75% of the classes, both Theory-practical and Tutorials;
(ii) a minimal mark of 10 (ten) out of 20 out of the parameters of the final mark
Final Exam: 60%
Research work: 30%
