Objectives

 




The program covers the period from the end of World War II to the present day.

Its objectives are to familiarize the Students with the main events and political,
social and cultural phenomena of German space during this time.



Learning outcomes and competences

 At the end of the semester students will master the main historical, political-social and cultural facts of the second half of the twentieth century and the first decade of the twenty-first century. They should be able to produce a coherent and correct written text on the subjects studied. They should develop their expository skills and be able to dialogue and defend personal points of view on matters of a theoretical and abstract nature.

During the semester, essays in different languages on the themes of the course will be referred to the students.

Teaching methods and learning activities

The course will be run on the basis of lectures, seminars and tutorials. The methodology chosen is eclectic, consisting in theoretical classes devoted mainly to the construction of contextualization and  seminars in which the students should have a very active and intervening participation.
