Objectives

The programme develop one set of points that aim to give the student:

- the knoweledge of a systemic and historic vision, since antiguity to the present

- essential concepts for a better understanding of the political phenomena

- capacity to analyse and explain the facts and the political events.

Learning outcomes and competences

The student must be able

1. to prove knowledge and understanding of conceptual and analytical tools of political science through a rational and critical argumentation, based on classical theories of political philosophy and history of ideas and culture,

2. to demonstrate literacy communication, oral and written, revealing suitability comunicative and use of information technologies

3. to display range of study, showing initiative and cooperative capacity at the organization of research and at communication of the results.

To have a minimum score of ten values established under this sheet and in the Evaluation Standards of the Faculty.

Calculation formula of final grade

- one written test (weight of 30%)

 - written  reports on individual research about the issues of the program and the texts of obligatory reading  (weight of 60%)  - each student must have a total of 4 reports at the end of the semester

Participation in the classes - 10%

obligatory presence of 50% in classes

 

Classification improvement

Components susceptible to appeal and improvement of classification: written test (weighting of 30% in the final grade of the course unit).
