Objectives
This course unit is designed for students to:
. Develop skills and gain thorough knowledge regarding the acquisition, manipulation, analysis and representation of information.
. Become aware of the main agents producing information.
. Understand the operating principles of 'commercial' or 'open source' computer programmes available for data processing.
. Master the most popular tools by solving actual problems.
