Resumo (PT): A obra aqui proposta, organizada por Sílvio Santos e João Miranda, culmina um trabalho desenvolvido com o objetivo de conhecer e problematizar o desenvolvimento do setor dos podcasts em Portugal. Esta área tem despertado um crescente interesse, sobretudo no domínio dos estudos dos media. No entanto, apesar de este novo paradigma de produção sonora já ter expressão consistente em Portugal, encontramo‑nos, ainda, numa fase incipiente, no que diz respeito à produção científica no nosso país. Com efeito, quando, em 2019, se realizou a primeira edição do festival Podes, o podcasting era já um fenómeno com relativa expressão no contexto português. Em curso estava uma reconfiguração do panorama mediático sonoro português, que imbrica num conjunto de transformações não apenas tecnológicas, mas também sociais e económicas, que subjazem a uma profunda reordenação do ecossistema comunicacional.

Abstract (EN): This book, organized by Sílvio Santos and João Miranda, culminates a research path devoted to get a deeper knowledge of the podcast sector in Portugal. This area is being the focus of an increasing interest, especially in the field of media studies. However, despite the fact that this new paradigm of sound production already has a consistent expression in Portugal, we are still at an incipient stage, with regard to scientific production in our country. Indeed, when, in 2019, the first edition of the Podes Festival took place, podcasting was already a phenomenon with relative expression in the Portuguese context. A reconfiguration of the Portuguese sound media context was underway, which involved a set of not only technological, but also social and economic transformations, which underlie a profound reorganization of the communication ecosystem.
