The project in question essentially involves the construction of a new building and its equipment necessary for the installation and qualification of the Institute for Research and Innovation in Healthcare - I3S . The institute is a collaboration between the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology ( IBMC ) , Institute of Biomedical Engineering ( INEB ) and the Institute of Molecular Pathology and Immunology of Porto University ( IPATIMUP ) , and aims to contribute to achieving the goals set in national and regional policy in the area of science , technology and innovation , through promotion of the concept of network cooperation in the field of Biomedicine and Health.
The new facility will accommodate about 280 PhDs , 60 % of which exclusively dedicated to research, scholarship 250 , 100 technicians and other administrative staff . Although the technical- scientific framework of the proposed operation is ensured by these institutes , the application is promoted by the University of Porto. |
