The graduate degree in Languages and International Relations is a result of the adequacy, for the Bologna Program, of one of the variants from the former degree in European Studies reducing the degree’s length to three years.
Taking advantage from the experience gained so far, a new curricular structure offering an updated and scientifically demanding syllabus was defined.
The degree in Languages and International Relations is a transverse course, “broadband”, which uses the scientific potentialities of several areas of Humanities, offering the graduates a solid education in two foreign languages, as well as depth knowledge in sociology, law, economy and history, in an international perspective; the course’s structure contemplates a theoretical reflection about the mentioned areas.
The degree in Languages and International Relations is intended for students with the 12th grade who wish to work in languages and international relations area and who may eventually be interested in taking a 2nd cycle course (for that purpose, a new 2nd cycle course, named Masters in History, International Relations and Cooperation, was created, as a complement to the graduate degree).
