Objectives
Competences, skills and acquisition of knowledge in key research methodologies directly related to the experimental aspects encompassed in the doctoral thesis plan. Additionally demand that students acquire an integrated view of the major developments of knowledge, innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of pharmaceutical research.
Learning outcomes and competences
The active student participation both in events with discussion and dissemination of scientific breakthroughs, whether in the form of laboratory stages in reference research units provide the student:
i) acquiring experimental skills in advanced technologies in health sciences.
ii) the composition of your Thesis subject in the wider context of principals lines of research in entrepreneurship and therapeutic innovation, exploration of new bioactive substances, environmental impact of therapeutic and occupational health, characterization of biomarkers for early diagnosis of diseases and evolution pathological conditions, food security and its relationship to health promotion.
iii) comprehensive training in concepts and complex knowledge in the field of health sciences in a general way and in the policy areas of pharmaceutical sciences in particular to contribute to raising the profile of skills andstu dent's qualifications need to meet the requirements of expectable employability.

Program
The program content is established under tutorial guidance of the thesis supervisor, taking into account the above defined competences, and after approval by the Monitoring Committee, which will assess its coherence in providing more global knowledge and scientific skills. Main activities to be developed by the students should include frequency of courses of FFUP study cycles or of other organic units of the UP (with indication to the obtained mark)to attend training courses credited by the UP to attend conferences/congresses and seminars and to participate in laboratorial stages outside UP, totaling216 hours of work of students(with attendance to 78h T,P and lab).

The consultation bibliography is variable depending on the nature of the laboratory stage or the target of deepening knowledge when participating in scientific event .
Teaching methods and learning activities
The methods of teaching and assessment adopted are defined in each training activity attended by the student and will total 162 hours of contact. In the trial period the student has to prepare a detailed report on the activities in which he participated and quality of participation, as well as a deep report on the skills acquired. The supervisor should also deliver a written opinion on the effectiveness of training obtained here.
