It is free. field: has an interest in dynamic and alternative fields of architectural practice, education and discourse. field: is not prescriptive about methodologies, knowledge production or ways of imagining the field and is interested in questioning particular relations and assertions of power. field: is more about invention than discovery. The field is not somewhere ‘out there’ waiting to be discovered but is open to the flow of new ideas and practices. field: invites submissions from architecture and anthropology, archaeology, art, art history, design practice, design history, film studies, geography, history, literary studies, politics, psychology, science, sociology, sport, visual culture and many other fields and disciplines. field: encourages contributions from academics, researchers, artists, activists, and practitioners, from individuals or groups. field: sets out to begin to present on a regular basis reflections related to these different fields of interest. It is our intention to question and respond to what others in various fields have explored. field: seeks to avoid the idea of disciplinary autonomy and separation and perhaps one of the challenges we are embarking on is to understand the variety of interactions and relationships possible without ever treating a field as an external object.
