Abstract (EN):
Human thermal modelling started several decades ago and it still, nowadays, being a growing research area. Models applications can go from ergonomics evaluation, occupational health and safety to hyperthermia treatments in medicine. The aim of this work is to contribute with a short review in human thermal modelling by classifying the different kind of research that have been done in the area. A recent increase in scientific papers was found in the last 20 years. An high percentage of whole-body thermal models that can be used to solve many safety and hygiene issues, were found. Their focus covers different areas as the study of the suitability of thermal environment at work, the safety in fire fronts, thermal stress predictors or exposure limit evaluators.
