Winter School for Phd Students

"Personal Effectiveness and Leadership skills for PhD candidates"

Online + face-to-face activities

PROGRAMME

1. January (4 – 28), ONLINE MOOC

• Explore materials at moodle (videos, papers, etc), at your own pace.
• All activities must be completed before the face-to-face component.

 2. 29th January to 6^th February – FACE-TO-FACE, FEUP

• PhD candidates will meet face-to-face.
• Participants will be encouraged to actively engage in self-reflection, teamwork, and experiential exercises to apply concepts and principles learned, in their doctoral real-life situations.
• Themes to be addressed:

1. Self-leadership.
2. Lead others.
3. Motivation.
4. Handling stress.
5. Working with uncertainty.
6. Coping with frustration and failure.
7. Approach challenges positively.
8. Delegate responsibilities.

TUITION: free 

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be PhD candidates from UPorto with fluent English (b2, c1, c2), from any disciplinary area.
