Fernando Osório is a Research Assistant at INESC TEC, and a PhD Candidate in Industrial Engineering and Management at FEUP, focusing on application-driven developments of frontier techniques and multi-criteria decision analysis in the field of Education. He presented and discussed the research in international conferences, namely the 18th European Workshop on Efficiency and Productivity Analysis, the 10th Leuven Economics of Education Research Conference, and the 11th International Workshop on Efficiency in Education, Health, and other Public Services.
He is also a member of U.Porto Student Board within the European University Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH), contributing to the employability and lifelong learning work package. Holding a BSc and MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from FEUP, he was involved in academic governance as a member of FEUP Pedagogical Council, and of the BSc and MSc degree Monitoring Committees. He participated in two Erasmus+ mobility experiences, completing a six-month study period at "Politecnico di Milano" and a three-month research period at "Università di Pisa".
During his studies, he completed three internships in organisations: two in logistics, at Netceed (2021) and Rangel Logistics Solutions (2023), and one in operations and information management at Sonae Indústria (2022). He also received "Prémio Mestre APGEI" awarded by the Portuguese Association of Industrial Engineering and Management (APGEI) for the highest overall grade in the MSc degree.
