Objectives
Each student must carry out work in an environment external to the universities, integrated in ongoing projects in the institution, allowing the student to apply an engineering process in computer vision to the development of a real system, during the trimester, encompassing some of the phases of the specification of requirements, design and architecture, implementation, integration, testing, documentation and demonstration, as dictated by the needs of the project.
Learning outcomes and competences
This work should lead the student to deepen a thematic related to the master's degree in computer vision, should lead the student to internalize concepts, methods and techniques in the perspective of learning by doing, allowing him to develop reflection and synthesis; should make possible the accomplishment of the work applied to the context of the area of expertise of computer vision.

Program
Each student will have an individual work program in the domain of the master course, defined by the tutor in the host
institution and validated by the coordinators of the curricular unit. The main steps may encompass a subset of the following, according to the specific needs of the project:
-Survey of State-of-the-art respective;
-Analysis of potential solutions;
-Development of a solution;
-Critical assessment and ev aluation of the developed solution;
In the end, the student will always produce a written report of th e conducted work.
Mandatory literature

Comments from the literature
The bibliography to be used will depend on the project the student will be working on.
Teaching methods and learning activities
Each student must conduct individual work, essentially of dev elopment, advised by the tutor in the host institution and
validated by the Coordinators of the curricular unit.
The work must be carried out in an institution different from one of the four universities offering the master.
The main tasks of the work include the comprehension of the problem, the formalization of the problem, the study of appropriate methodologies, the development and design of a solution to the problem, an evaluation and a critical analysis of the obtained results, and conclusions.
