Objectives
Knowledge: To describe the principles of analysis, selection and design in order to detail nonstructural elements in the envelope of buildings. Understanding: To understand the behaviour, performance and operation of nonstructural elements in the envelope of buildings. To interpret and apply technical documentation. Application: To develop solutions and submit drawings. Evaluation: To criticise the solutions found. To choose appropriate solutions with the best performance. Research: To arouse an interest in the discovery of knowledge, working on problems with various solutions. Project: To design nonstructural elements in the envelope of buildings. Practice: To develop appropriate, feasible solutions. To present solutions in scale drawings, together with all the notes required for a proper implementation on site.

Teaching methods and learning activities
The three weekly hours planned will be divided into a theoretical class of 60 minutes, of a more presentational nature, in which the models, concepts and parameters will be explained, and an application-oriented
theoretical-practical class of 120 minutes, in which the topics addressed will be discussed, exercises made and work performed.

Eligibility for exams
Achieving final classification requires compliance with attendance at the course unit, according to the assessment rules of FEUP.
Calculation formula of final grade
The assessment will be continuous, without a final examination, with the final mark resulting from the classification of 5 practical works weighing 10, 25, 25, 20 and 20%.
If the student wishes, he can improve up to 2 works with the worst classification, with a delivery date to be defined by the professors.
