Objectives

The topics will cover a broad spectrum based on the core of the master themes: innovation and entrepreneurship in technology. Topics such as: 
• Innovation policies 
• Technology-based Entrepreneurship 
• Innovation management (products, processes, services and business) 
• Technological Benchmarking 
• Surveillance and technology foresight 
The more technical nature of theses should not be restricted to the strict development of technology, but rather be framed in the central themes of the master: innovation and entrepreneurship.

Learning outcomes and competences

Integration of knowledge and skills to carry out a piece of work on a specific topic in the course's area of knowledge, culminating in the presentation and public defense of a Dissertation.


Demonstrate knowledge of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations, integrating sustainability principles into Engineering practices. It includes being able to identify the contribution of student work to environmental, social and economic aspects, as well as defining performance indicators that establish metrics to measure the impact of projects, with a view to a more sustainable and inclusive future. Presencial

Students should, whenever possible, complete this course on an exclusive basis.

Teaching methods and learning activities

During the development of their dissertation, students will have at least one academic supervisor, previously approved by the MIETE Scientific Committee.

The 2nd of June is the formal submission date for the MIETE Dissertation. 

However, anyone unable to hand it in on the 2nd of June can do it until 18/July/2025. 

Submission of the dissertation after the 18th of July is subject to a special formal request.
