To understand the diverse issues that influence the performance of construction companies and to be able to apply methodologies that enable the evaluation of such performance.
To identify relevant information for the determination of KPI’s and work over these in order to define management strategies for the short and long term.
Performance-oriented management. Models of business performance analysis: BSC, KPI, CII, CDT, DEN, SISIND, icBench. Benchmarking indicators. Information and assessment sources via web. Pluriannual trends. Structuring economical information. ProNic protocol and e-procurement platforms. Models of public and private partnerships: BOO, DB, DBM, BLT, LDO. Procedures to implement PPPs.
DEMONSTRATION OF THE SYLLABUS COHERENCE WITH THE CURRICULAR UNIT'S OBJECTIVES
The contact and knowledge of the various approaches and cases throghout the world permit to identify the main issues relevant to performance analysis and the way it may be used.
Classes including the presentation of the main concepts mixed with small group courseworks, with discussion. Grading by means of these courseworks and an individual coursework.
DEMONSTRATION OF THE COHERENCE BETWEEN THE TEACHING METHODOLOGIES AND THE LEARNING OUTCOMES:
As an area where personal experience and direct knowledge is relevant, the existence of a discussion space is appropriate.
