Objectives

Acquisition of knowledge related to flow of incompressible fluids in branched pipes, compressible fluids, non-Newtonian fluids, mixture, and gas-liquid flows. Acquisition of knowledge associated with solid/solid, solid/liquid, gas/solid separation processes with application in various types of equipment design.

Teaching methods and learning activities

Theoretical-practical classes will be based on the presentation of fundamental concepts in order to acquire knowledge related with this course unit. It will also be presented and solved applications illustrating the theoretical concepts.
