The objectives of this course are to provide students with knowledge and skills on processes, techniques and requirements engineering models, including analysis tools in the context of organizational information systems analysis. It is intended that given a situation of potential introduction or development of an information system in an organization, the student is able to participate in and / or conduct an analysis process that leads to the definition of technical and organizational requirements of this system.

It is intended to enable students with:
- technical skills for analyzing organizational processes and identifying, analyzing and specifying information system requirements;
- social skills to participate in project teams involved in the development of information systems in organizations.
It is also intended that students acquire a socio-technical attitude regarding the development of information systems in organizations, that is, that they regard development activities as always requiring a balanced and integrated intervention in technical, organizational and social terms.
Being approved at the UC, the students will be able to:

3. Introduction to Business Process Analysis
Part B - Analysis and specification of information systems
3. Introduction to requirements engineering
4. Elicitation, analysis and negotiation of requirements
5. Documentation and requirements communication
The lectures focus on the discussion of the topics included in the content of the UC. For this, students will the reading list in the plan of UC. The discussion of issues is motivated by case studies, illustrative examples, examples of technologies, etc..
During the semester students will perform 3 or 4 small group projects which apply the knowledge acquired in concrete situations. Content created by these groups are managed by a content management system (wiki) making this practice part of learning.
