Eligibility for exams

Positive assessment in the group work and grade ≥7 out of 20 in the global mini-test.

Calculation formula of final grade

FG = 0.10 EX + 0.60 MT + 0.30 TD

where:

EX - classification given to the exercises solved in group, within the class

MT - classification of the global mini-test, which will focus the topics addressed in classes (minimum grade of 7/20)

TD -
classification given to the theme development group work; it is composed of the following components:
  • 30% - oral presentation (30%) and  (70%).
  • 70% - final report that should be delivered 2 weeks after the presentation
To obtain approval to the course unit, the final grade FG must be equal to or greater than 10/20. Those students who not reach a passing grade will have the opportunity to make a written exam, which will only replace the grade of the mini-tests (MT) and exercises (EX).

Examinations or Special Assignments

Not applicable.

Internship work/project

Not applicable.

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

According to the current regulations and if the student meets all the evaluation criteria, the final grade of the course unit, FG, will be calculated according to:

FG = 0.30 TD + 0.70 EX

where:

TD - classification given to the individual theme development work, suggested by the teacher; it is composed of the following components: oral presentation (30%), and final report (70%)

EX - grade obtained in the special period examination (minimum average grade of 7 in 20)

To complete this course unit, students must meet a minimal final grade, FG, of 10 (out of 20).

In the case of conclusion of the cycle of studies, the final grade will be given by:

FG2 = 0.30 TD + 0.70 EX

where:

TD - classification given to the individual theme development work, assigned by the teacher, in the form of report.

EX - grade obtained in the special period examination (minimum average grade of 7 in 20).

To complete this course unit, students must meet a minimal final grade FG2 of 10 (out of 20).

Classification improvement

Students wishing to improve their final grades must perform an extra theoretical exam, which will focus the topics addressed in the classes. The students will also be asked to present a written report about a new individual theme development, assigned by the teacher. The final grade of the course unit FG will be estimated according to:

FG = 0.30 TD + 0.70 EX

where:

TD - classification given to the theme development

EX - grade obtained in the appeal examination (minimum of 7 in 20).

To complete this course unit, students must meet a minimal final grade, FG, of 10 out of 20.
