This course unit of Environmental Geology has three main objectives Familiarize Students with key concepts of Geology; Reflect on the Human actions on Earth; Understanding of Earth´s influence on Humanity and of the Humanity influence on Earth. Previous Knowledge Basic knowledge of the natural sciences, in particular the sciences of the earth, this will help students on this course unit. Learning Outcomes It is intended that students will look at the Earth: as a system of interaction of rock, water, air and life; in continuously changing; reserves of natural resources.
It is expected that students, at the end of the course, are able to frame environmental problems in their geological settings, establishing logical and systemic reasoning, considering his prediction / prevention / resolution.
