Acquisition of core engineering fundamental knowledge related to flow and fluid mixture and separation processes (solid/solid, solid/liquid, gas/solid). Acquisition of advanced engineering knowledge related to the design of different equipments. Identification, formulation and definition of priorities by carrying out a small project on flow network of fluids. Students will have to carry out a bibliography and electronic research to complete this project.

Study and design of facilities with internal fluid flow - Pumps and ventilators - Flow in branched pipes - Compressible fluid flows - Non-Newtonian fluid flows - Agitation and mixture - Two phase flows 2. Study and design of facilities with fluid flow and solid particles - Characterization of a sample of particles - Flow in fixed and fluidized porous beds - Elutriation - Sedimentation - Filtration - Centrifugation - Cyclones
Theoretical-practical classes will be based on the presentation of fundamental concepts in order to acquire knowledge related to this course unit. It will also be presented and solved applications which illustrate the theoretical concepts.
