To develop the students’ curiosity;
To develop the students’ capacity to identify, evaluate and formulate safety and health problems;
To develop students’ criticism and creativity;
To develop students’ civism and personal, social and ambient responsibility;
To develop students’ skills to work in multidisciplinary and, if possible, multicultural teams;
To develop students’ knowledge on different approaches to safety and health issues;
To develop students’ understanding of the multidisciplinary nature of the safety and health problems and the need of cooperative approaches to solve them.
Brief presentation of the themes of interest of the DemSSO Professors and researchers;
Presentation of the experience and research results of the students of previous editions of DemSSO;
Methodologies to do research in typical data bases and also in other sources out of the ‘mainstream’;
Seminars, round tables and debates with specialized people from different scientific areas;
Students’ visits, interviews and other activities;
Multi and interdisciplinary analyses on Occupational Safety and Health;
Any scale problems identification;
Presentation of research results in conferences, round tables or debates.
Teaching mostly by students as learning process;
Presentation, discussion and debate of several themes in a holistic perspective in the field of safety, hygiene and health;
Network exchange of knowledge and experiences, conjugating different approaches and attitudes in systemic way;
Peer review of each student’s work by two of his colleagues.
