Objectives

The topics taught in this course are seen as a tool/language of engineering. In that sense, it is expected that the student will be able to understand and correctly use the basic mathematical concepts and procedures. This course, as well as Mathematical Analysis I, is focused on the understanding and exercise of an extremely operational, compact and synthetic language, necessary to develop (mathematical) concepts and topics of fundamental importance to other courses of the degree. In that sense, its main objective is to provide students with a knowledge base that will enable them to understand different specific contents of the undergraduate degree.
