Objectives
The acquisition of knowledge and the development of spirit of analysis of problems in the field on non-linear solid mechanics.
Program
1st part: Introduction to Tensor Calculus. Operations with Vectors and Tensors. Scalar and Tensor Functions. Deformation Tensors: Green, Lagrange and Euler deformations. Tension Tensors: Cauchy and Piolla-Kirchoff tensions. Introduction to hyperelastic models and presentation of some constitutive laws.
2nd part: Theory of Plasticity: yield criteria, flow rules, hardening laws, models with plastic anisotropy. Theory of Viscoplasticity. Elementary Applications of the Theory of Plasticity. Plastic Hinge Method. Slip Line Theory.
