Objectives
The purpose of this subject is to give our students, who do not have any preparation or knowledge on juridical matters, a complete training about the interference of law in the companies and in commercial business.Therefore the enterprise is observed under a juridical point of view on different aspects, concerning its activities, contracts and the problems that may occur when applying the law. Although the intention and purpose is not, and can not be, to give a complete preparation in business and company law the subject intends to make the students understand some of the problems that may emerge when starting and developing commercial activities and to prepare them to be aware of those problems and have the knowledge to take the right and lawful decisions.
Program
COMPANY AND ENTERPRISER: company owner; Commercial Company: types of societies, legal system of limited and public limited company; COMPANY AND COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY: legal transaction, declaration and will; guarantee pay; Notions of civil liability, giving a special emphasis to the legal system of civil liability; The most common agreements: sale and purchase agreement, commercial lease, financial leasing, factoring, agency agreement, franchising, technical support agreement and technologic transference agreement; THE COMPANY AND MEANS OF PAYMENT: cheque, negotiable instrument, promissory note, cash-card; international payments; THE COMPANY AND LABOUR RELATIONSHIPS: Individual employment contract
Teaching methods and learning activities
The program of this course unit is extensive and the time to discuss it is not long. The themes will be presented based on practical cases and students will be asked to participate in the analysis of solutions, by applying the laws.
The classes aim to familiarise students with the laws that they will have to apply, namely the Civil Code, Code of Labour Practice and legislation related to agreements.

Examinations or Special Assignments
Students will be asked to actively participate in class, by carrying out assignments about real themes.
Observations
This course unit lasts 4 hours per week. Although it is not enough, since the program is very extensive, it is more reasonable than last year.
