Elements of probability. Data numerical description and expectation. Discrete probability distributions. Normal distribution. Sampling distributions. Confidence intervals. Hypothesis testing. Correlation and regression analysis of experimental data. Analysis of variance. Quality control. Hypothesis testing and analysis of variance.

Lectures with emphasis on student interactivity supported by the presentation and resolution of real problems. Theoretical-practical classes with emphasis on team work supervised by the lecturer and using Matlab and Excel.

Part 1: Theoretical part without consulting any document and without calculator machine;
Part 2: Practical part with consulting of one document and with calculator machine;
Part 3: Practical part with consulting of one document executed in a computer.
