Objectives

● To identify/acquire the essential skills in order to maximize personal and interpersonal performance. ● To apply techniques of personal development, to use strategies of group interaction and manage different communication resources, in order to reach a progressive efficiency in the working processes and a high effectiveness in the results. ● To raise awareness regarding soft skills and the changes which need to be developed in the individual profile, in order to improve the future professional activity in electrical and computers engineering.

Learning outcomes and competences

LEARNING OUTCOMES: At the end of this course students should be able to successfully use their personal and interpersonal skills both in informal situations and in academic/professional contexts.

Teaching methods and learning activities

Theoretical classes: presentation of the themes with audiovisual support: blackboard, overhead projector and/or computer with datashow.
Practical classes: explanation of the themes with audiovisual support: blackboard, overhead projector and/or computer with datashow; practical activities, case analysis and exercises of behaviour training, in order to improve the skills related with the different themes of the course.

Eligibility for exams

Attendance to 75% of the practical classes and compulsory attendance to the assessment components.

Calculation formula of final grade

Final Classification: Assessment of theoretical classes (50%=10 values) + Assessment of practical classes (50%=10 values) Note: Students have to reach a minimum mark of 50% in each of the components and reach a minimum mark of 9,5 out of 20 in the final mark.

Examinations or Special Assignments

Assessment Components: MT- 2 mini-tests about theoretical classes (individual assignment) WR- A written report (group assignment) P- Oral presentation (individual assignment) with audiovisual support (group assignment) IP- Individual performance during classes

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

It is the same as for ordinary students. Although working students are exempt from classes, there is an obligation to be present in the evaluation moments and perform the work described in the evaluation components.

Classification improvement

Students can improve their marks in the next year.
