Objectives
Prepare students to understand the role of Information Systems (IS) in organizations and the importance of their alignment with the enterprise strategy.
At the end of the course, students should be able to use and develop applications that integrate with an ERP. The ERP systems used in the course are: SAP, SAGE X3, Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Primavera.

Eligibility for exams
Minimum grade of 50% in the sum of several components.
Calculation formula of final grade
The final Grade is composed of the following 5 components:
1.Seminars: COMPTA/SAP (22-set); SAGE (13-out); Primavera + Navision (24-nov); Grupo @work - Business Intelligence & Recursos Humanos (15-dez)
5% : Seminars Attendance (tolerance of 1)
2. Assigment for the practial classes (Presentation on January 4)
40% : Presentation and Discussion of the work developed along the practical classes (SAP e SAGE) (20 slides) - 15 mins, at the last practical session. Each team should be composed of 2 students.
3. Mini-Test
15% : Mini-test 1 (max 1h) (10-nov)
15% : Mini-test 2 (max 1h) (15-dez)
4. Study Trip
10% : Report on the visit (delivered until one week after the trip. The individual report should not have mora than 2 páginas A4 [Times New Roman 12]).
5. Quizzes performed at the last 10 mins of the defined Theoric Classes (starting time às 10h15)
5% : SAP QUIZ (6-out)
5% : POSSEN Case Study QUIZ (13-out)
5% : SAGE QUIZ (24-nov)
100% : Total
Examinations or Special Assignments
- The responses to the SAP Tutorial (P2.1) must be submitted during the practical classes between the 4th and 8th of Oct (due to a national holiday, the Tuesday teams will submit up to 8th Oct)
- 1st Test (P1) - 18th Oct.
- 2nd Test (P1 + P2.3) - Day 6 Dec. (Held in the theoretical class)
- Submission of final reports - ERP (P2.2) - Practical sessions between 13 and 17 Dec.
- Presentation of final work (P2.2) - January 6, 2011.
Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)
The student workers must make an examination and a report summarizing the work with an ERP.
The work will involve using the SAGE R3 or Primavera or MS Dynamics NV, using the Tutorial of practical classes.
Classification = final exam (35%) + report (65%)
Classification improvement
It is possible to improve the marks obtained in individual tests in an exam test (appeal period) that encompasses the course covered concepts.
