Objectives

To enable PhD Students to discuss and select their own thesis subject.
To help students to explain their decision and write their State of the Art Report as well as their Thesis temporal Plan.

Program

1- General discussion on the possible Doctoral subjects for all the students

2- Supporting writting individual Reports:
- Report on the State of the Art
- Thesis Plan

3- Intermediate SOA report assessment

4 Individual presentations and collective discussion on the submited Reports

Teaching methods and learning activities

Individual students work; This work may (should) have the assistance of the previewed supervisor(s);
Individual presentations and collective discussion during a few classes during the semester;

Observations


Although a supervisor's colaboration on Reports writing can be possible, it should be absolutly clear the PhD student's authorship as well as his own responsibility of the produced material.
