Objectives

To frame ergonomics in an occupational context, to present its scientific basis with a focus on the multidisciplinary character of the ergonomic approach.
To characterize the ergonomics approach of Human-Machine systems, identifying its essential aspects (interface, work space, work load and respective requirements, such as physiological, biomechanic, psico-physical and psycological requirements)
To acquire know-how concerning the methodologies and instrumentation used in the attainment and measurement of anthropometric, physiological, biomechanic and psico-physical parameters, in experiments monitoring, and workers’ performance during occupational tasks.

Program
