Interaction agitation/solid borders and structures phenomena. Presentation of laboratorial and numerical techniques of modelation. Initiation to the planning of port installations and systems of coastal defense.

Program

Maritime Hydraulics (2nd part): Wave action on coastal and harbour structures (cont.). Wave propagation and interaction (cont.). Modelling. Physical modelling. Long period waves. Irregular waves. Wave spectra. Structural components and construction techniques (2nd part): Design of coastal protection structures.
Planning of ports: physical planning, berth and terminal design, equipments, marinas, dredging works. Environmental issues.
