Objectives
Make the students familiar with the concepts underlying computer security.
Develop the skills necessary to specify a security policy, to implement it, using the appropriate security mechanisms, to verify that the implementation conforms to the specification, and to monitor its application.

Teaching methods and learning activities
The selected security topics are presented in expository classes. Whenever possible, practical examples are discussed.

Eligibility for exams
To get a 50% mark on the continuous evaluation component.
Calculation formula of final grade
0,3 D+ 0,7 E
D - Distributed evaluation during semester (2 mini-tests)
E - Final exam

None. Working students and student in similar special contitions are subjected to same evaluation components as the ordinary students.
Classification improvement
Final written exam in resit period.
Observations
Pre-requirements are knowledge on basic programming, operating systems and networking.
All exams are individual, written and without access to personal documentation. Each mini-test lasts for 30 minutes, the first exam lasts for 2h and the resit exam 2h30m.
