Objectives

To identify the normative activity in the sector, describe operating requirements of the diverse systems that integrate the automobile and project and integrate the diverse electronic subsistems.

Program

Analysis of the diverse electric subsystems of the vehicle: illumination, instrumentation of critical
systems, instrumentation and comfort actuation, chain kinematics, control of movement.
Data transmission .
Technologies and normative practices.
Project of diverse subsystems, such as the interior and exterior illumination, the automatic control of the operative machine of states and electric motorization of the chain kinematics.

Teaching methods and learning activities

Classes are divided in:
1- Lectures (Teóricas)- 2 hpw
2- Example classes (Teórico-Práticas) -as needed.
3- Labs (Práticas)- 2 hpw.
At the Lectures concepts and results are presented after some previous motivation. Examples illustrating the applications of concepts and results are treated. Students are encouraged to participate and ask whatever questions related to the subjects being discussed.
At the Example classes students present their doubts to be solved interactively in the class.
Finally at Labs students are involved in doing experimental and simulation work in order to master the presented theoretical concepts . Labs are also used to make the evaluation of some of the learning outcomes of the discipline.

Evaluation Type

Distributed evaluation with final exam

Assessment Components

Description Type Time (hours) Weight (%) End date
Subject Classes Participação presencial 52,00
Exame 4,00
Trabalho escrito 46,00
Total: - 0,00

Amount of time allocated to each course unit

Description Type Time (hours) End date
Estudo autónomo 12
Estudo autónomo 46
Total: 58,00

Eligibility for exams

A student is allowed to take the final exam if he/she attains at least 75% of Labs during the semester and has no less than 35% in the marks of Labs.

Calculation formula of final grade

Let LE be the mark of the Lab Examination component and FE the mark of Final Examination (all in a 0-20 scale).
The final mark of the course is calculated by the following formula:
IF{LE>7}
THEN
MARK = {0.4*LE+0.6*FE}
ELSE
MARK = 'SF'
END

Examinations or Special Assignments

None.

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

Students with special status (working students, etc) also need to attain the Labs and they cannot be evaluated by final exam only.

Classification improvement

As rule 10 of NGA.
