Objectives
Laboratory practice in Fluid Mechanics and Transport Phenomena with a view at consolidating theoretical concepts.
Program
Set of five (out of six) laboratory experiments:
Exp.1- Laminar flow in a tube/ Tank discharge through orifice
Exp.2- Air cooling of metal rod: natural convection
Exp.3- Air cooling of metal rod: forced convection
Exp.4- Determination of characteristic curves of centrifugal pump
Exp.5- Evaporation followed by diffusion along a tube
Exp.6- Flow measurement techniques

Eligibility for exams
Students must perform at least four of the laboratory works assigned to them.
Calculation formula of final grade
Continuous assessment: 35%
Report and its discussion: 5*10%
Oral presentation: 15%
Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)
Examination consisting of 3 laboratory works, including discussion and written reports.
Classification improvement
Laboratory exam and written report on one work. Oral presentation of another work.
