Eligibility for exams
Tests: 70% (5 1-hour tests comprising both a theoretical and a practical component)
Continuous assessment: 30% (including two practical assignments)
Students enrolled must comply with the legally foreseen absence limit and must achieve a minimum of 30% in tests and practical assignments in order to attain frequency.
Calculation formula of final grade
Final mark = 0.7 * (Test1+Test2+Test3+Test4+Test5)/5 +

Examinations or Special Assignments
There are no special tests or assignments. This course requires 30% of practical assessment for all students enrolled, resulting from the submission of practical assignments by the deadlines stipulated.
Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)
Practical assessment, carried out throughout the semester, is required for all students, regardless of type of enrolment and the need for frequency attainment. Practical assessment is based on 2 practical assignments to be accomplished during the semester and submitted in the terms stated on the course webpage. Students enrolled under special regimes, in which practical class attendance is not compulsory, should consult the lecturers on the practical assessment sessions they should attend.
Classification improvement
Improvement may be attained in resit exam periods, according to the academic calendar of the Information Science Programme.
