Abstract (EN): A DTC controller is developed being its characteristics compared with other scalar and vector control techniques based controllers. DTC behaviour is identified with analysis of main problems: variability of the voltage waveform supplied to the motor without pattern and without constant frequency. The designed DTC controller handles the identified problem through a uniform switching frequency based on new frequency domain concepts. This work concludes with the analysis either of the mechanical behaviour of the controlled system and of harmonic contents of the waveforms for the electrical power drive.
