Abstract (EN): Despite the increasing automation of industrial processes, the manual handling remains a major cause of work related MSDs. This paper presents an ergonomic study of a work station in a filling line of a paints and varnishes production plant which involves manual handling. It aimed to assess the risk of MSDs that workers are exposed to. Four methods were used: EEPPTM (Energy Expenditure Prediction Program), revised NIOSH Lifting Equation (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health), REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) and QEC (Quick Exposure Check). The risk of work-related MSD was identified and some corrective measures for their mitigation were proposed.
