Resumo (PT): Este trabalho pretende contextualizar a Escola na era dos media electrónicos e das novas linguagens emergentes. Aborda as relações dinâmicas dos diferentes media com as questões de identidade, comunidade e comunicação como factores de Integração Cultural. Foca também o conceito de Educação que defendo, reflectindo sobre a função da Escola e do Professor. Por fim analiso o funcionamento real e institucional do estabelecimento de ensino no início do século XXI enumerando os pricipais factores de resistência às mudanças necessárias à sua actualização.
