Summary: This project has the following main objectives:
1) To develop and deepen know-how in the areas of silane and silicon oxide chemistry, applied to the synthesis of hybrid organic-inorganic compounds.
2) Apply this knowledge to the production of hybrid coatings with superior performance, applicable to the following areas:
- interior coatings with high stain resistance
- exterior coatings with low dirt pick-up
- coatings with high corrosion and envrionmental exposure resistance
- iintumescent coatings for passive fire protection
