Sessão de apresentação de oportunidades de emprego em Machine Learning e Data Mining no BNP Paribas em Portugal

O objetivo das sessões será dar a conhecer as oportunidades de emprego nos dois projectos em que estamos a instalar, em Portugal, equipas locais na área de Data Mining. Os oradores, responsáveis destas equipas centralmente, irão também apresentar a atividade desenvolvida pelas equipas de Londres e de Bruxelas com quem os candidatos recrutados irão trabalhar (e onde terão uma formação bastante alargada). Alguns dos tópicos abordados são: - Smart and big data: marketing myth or business reality? - How to transform client data into actionable strategies and call-to-actions creating value? - Share of experience on data analytics: BNP Paribas CIB Client Insight & Analytics and Client Intelligence Services Donato Carrieri Background of Civil electro-mechanics engineering - Ecole Polytechnique of the Free University of Brussels (specialisation in fluid mechanics). Started his career as research engineer at the plastics processing department of the Solvay Central Laboratories in Brussels, working on computer-aided development of plastic fuel tanks and air intake manifolds for several car manufacturers, being in charge of the design and of the prototype phases. Has held several positions within the BNP Paribas Group: trading, structuring, risk management for credit and counterparty risks, portfolio management, in charge of the quantitative and data and systems teams, economic and regulatory capital workflows within the Corporate and Institutional Banking division, portfolio optimisation processes,... Currently in charge of the Client Intelligence Services department within the Corporate and Institutional Banking division, responsible in collaboration with Client Insight and Analytics to deploy a data visualisation and analytics platform at the service of the Coverage, Métiers and Countries teams and to co-design the roll-out of the Big Data strategy. Stephen Hancock Stephen's industry background is deeply rooted in the pragmatic application of data mining and visualisation techniques within a front office trading and sales environment. With an education in electronic engineering and specialising in artificial intelligence / robotics, he has gained over 25 years' of front office Investment banking experience working for names such as Merrill Lynch, Nomura, Mizuho and finally BNP Paribas. His trading career for BNP Paribas started in 2000 as a desk quant and eventually culminated as the manager of the systematic prop trading business. In the last 4 years he has been responsible for starting the Client Insight and Analytics initiative, now run as a team within the Global Markets Quantitative Research department and mandated to create actionable strategies that grow the business through the automated analysis of client behaviour. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Divulgue os seus eventos e projetos através do e-mail: noticias@fe.up.pt.
