DCE25 - Doctoral Congress in Engineering@FEUP

June 30th to July 1st

The 6^th Doctoral Congress in Engineering 2025 – DCE25 will take place at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP), Portugal, from June 30^th to July 1^st, 2025.  

 

At DCE25, you have the opportunity to:

• Submit an abstract, present your work as an oral or poster presentation, and have it published in the Book of Abstracts (with ISBN);

OR

• Attend the congress without presenting.

 

Abstracts can be submitted to the following Symposia:

• Symposium on Biomedical Engineering
• Symposium on Chemical and Biological Engineering
• Symposium on Civil Engineering
• Symposium on Electrical and Computer Engineering
• Symposium on Industrial Engineering and Management
• Symposium on Engineering and Public Policy
• Symposium on Engineering Physics
• Symposium on Environmental Engineering
• Symposium on Informatics
• Symposium on Materials Science and Engineering
• Symposium on Mechanical Engineering
• Symposium on Mining and Geo-Resources Engineering
• Symposium on Refining, Petrochemical and Chemical Engineering
• Symposium on Spatial Planning
• Symposium on Sustainable Energy Systems

 

Each Symposium will feature awards for the best oral presentation and best poster.

 

DCE25 will bring together +500 participants from various engineering fields and will feature:

• Talks by experts, including FCT and ANI representatives
• Roundtable discussions on academia-industry collaboration
• Venture Scientists Session: 5-minute pitches by PhD students with innovative ideas and an entrepreneurial mindset
• Networking & Exhibition Opportunities: 200 m² dedicated to Research Units, Technology and Innovation Centers (CTIs), CoLABs, Startups, and Companies

 

Participants will also have the chance to attend free workshops and social events.

 

Registration: PhD candidates from FEUP can benefit from registration fee coverage by their doctoral program. Please check the conditions on the Symposium webpage related to your doctoral program (see the list above). The registration includes 4 coffee-breaks, 2 lunches and 2 social events - a Welcome Toast with TUNAFE & TEUP and a Sunset at FEUP’s central garden.
