FEUP Reading Club || Sustainability: The Way Forward

October 25 | 1pm | Sala de Atos FEUP

On October 25th, from 1pm to 2pm, another session of the FEUP Reading Club will take place. For this session we invited Professor Carlos Costa, Full Professor of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. Moderation will be in charge of Ana Carla Madeira from the FEUP “Sustainability Commissioner”.

The environment is a precious and fragile resource that sustains life on our planet. It encompasses everything around us, including the air we breathe, the water we drink, the soil we cultivate and the diversity of living beings that share this planet with us. The environment is therefore a complex and interconnected system, where each component plays a crucial role in maintaining the ecological balance.

Concern for the environment has become a central issue in our society as we are confronted with the negative impacts that our activities have caused. Air and water pollution, soil degradation, loss of biodiversity and climate change are some of the most pressing environmental challenges we face today.

The environment is a precious and fragile resource that sustains life on our planet. It is our responsibility to take care of it by adopting sustainable practices and promoting the conservation of natural resources. Only in this way can we guarantee a healthy and prosperous future for all forms of life.

This edition of the Reading Club will take place in the Atos Room.

We invite the whole community to take part in this Reading Club session, and also to find out more about the books available in the showcase on the First Floor of the Library.
