Apresentação Pessoal

Rúben Almeida holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP). With a particular interest in Natural Language Processing (NLP), he also worked as a researcher at the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support (LIAAD) at INESC TEC while still a student. Through this collaboration, he contributed to the establishment of the first Portuguese language NLP resource database and the development of tools focused on the European variant of Portuguese.

Currently, he combines teaching responsibilities with leading the development of Artificial Intelligence tools at dst group, where he is a pioneer in creating solutions for the construction industry in Europe.

A fervent advocate for the importance of education in social mobility and a modern pedagogical approach, Rúben Almeida begins his academic career as a guest lecturer. His goal is to bring a differentiated industrial perspective to the academic environment, enriching the education of LEIC/MEIC students and enhancing their abilities to tackle future challenges.
