Personal Presentation

My name is Otávio Noura Teixeira, I have 45 years old, I am the third son of a Luso-Brazilian family, married, and father of two girls, and for almost 23 years I dedicate my life to Higher Education, where I work with the purpose of helping my students to find their life purposes and fulfill their dreams. And I usually say: "If I can do it, so can you!"

My trajectory as a student started very early when I entered school at 1 year and 10 months old. But I didn't discover so quickly the pleasure and passion for study and learning, despite having always been a curious person and interested in understanding how things work.

I am passionate about studying, learning, and helping. I have an academic background in Computing, Mathematics, and Engineering, at different levels of formal training with undergraduate, specialization, master's, and doctorate degrees. However, my interests go far beyond these, including those in themes that transcend our three-/four-dimensional reality.

I am a researcher in the area of ​​Natural Computing. Lately, I am moving towards the area of ​​Neurosciences and Behavior, with the objective of developing, in principle, Machine Learning mechanisms that are better grounded in Nature. And subsequently, understand them effectively!
