Matheus F. Reis is currently a researcher in the SYSTEC research unit and Ph.D. student at the Electrical Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering, Porto University.
He got his degree in Control Engineering in 2016 at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering at Coppe/UFRJ under the research project "Line-of-Sight Stabilization and Tracking Control for Inertial Platorms". He also received a M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with specialization in Automation by the FEUP.
He is currently working on the implementation of path-following control algorithms on autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), but his research interests range from robotics to nonlinear control theory and machine learning.
