Personal Presentation

Ricardo P. M. Cruz is a recent Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto and a researcher at INESC TEC. His research focuses on machine learning — particularly deep learning, ordinal classification, and computer vision — with applications to healthcare and autonomous driving. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science (2012) and an M.Sc. in Mathematical Engineering (2015) from the University of Porto, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science (2021) jointly from the Universities of Porto, Aveiro, and Minho. He has authored over 30 publications with 100+ citations.
