Cristina Margarida Rodrigues Costa is a Coordinator Professor at the Engineering Departmental Unit of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (Instituto Politécnico de Tomar - IPT) coordinating and teaching several courses and curricular units in the scientific areas of construction and civil engineering. She got her PhD, MSc and BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Porto, Faculty of Engineering (FEUP) with both the PhD and the MSc thesis within the scope of numerical and experimental assessment of the structural behaviour of stone arch bridges. She is a Research Integrated Member at Construct R&D from FEUP, collaborating on the thematic lines of Built Historical Heritage, Safety Assessment and Seismic Engineering and Railway Infrastructures. She is/was a research member on national and international research projects in the scientific area of construction and civil engineering. She is the author and co-author of several scientific papers and technical reports in the area of structural analysis, modelling, testing and rehabilitation of built constructions, particularly stone arch bridges.
