Personal Presentation

Pedro is a Professor Auxiliar at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), Portugal. Pedro received his Ph.D. degree in 2017 from U.Porto; his host institution was Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT). Pedro recently acted as P.I. in the Eureka MIRAI project addressing cybersecurity, and in the CMU|Portugal FLOYD project, that explores edge computing and 5G communications to support vehicular clients. Besides this, Pedro has extensive participation in national and international projects in the topics of wireless communications and smart cities. Pedro has (co-)authored over 40 publications in international research venues with edited proceedings or journals, and has been part of multiple organizing committees and TPCs of well-established conferences. His supervision service includes 2 completed Ph.D.s (with 2 on-going) and 13 M.Sc.s. His interests are wireless systems, 5G/6G Core and RAN, wireless positioning, vehicular communications and their interplay with autonomous driving.
