I primarily work with Operations Research methods to address real-world driven supply chain planning problems. In particular, I focus my research on the production planning in process industries, such as the paper industry. The applied techniques range from Optimization (mainly Metaheuristics) to Discrete-Event Simulation and also their combination (Simulation-Optimization).
In this context, I have contributed in consultancy/R&D projects, supported by different types of entities.
