Current Position: Assistant Researcher; Member of the R&D unit CONSTRUCT- Institute of R&D in Structures and Construction.

 

Education: Degree in Chemical Engineering from FEUP (1995); PhD in Chemical Engineering from FEUP (2002).

 

Main research interests/skills: Building Physics and Building Technology applied to the development of efficient buildings: energy efficiency, thermal comfort, hygrothermal behaviour, active and passive systems; building monitoring; rising damp; 3D printing and building pathology and rehabilitation.

 

Years of relevant experience:  15

 

Main activities: Principal Investigator of 1 research project and member of the team of 9 research projects in the area of building physics and energy; co-supervisor of 3 doctoral theses; author of more than 300 scientific and technical publications.

 

Other relevant information: Editor in Chief of the international journal “Journal of Building Pathology and Rehabilitation” (Scopus indexed) and Springer Book Series “Building Pathology and Rehabilitation”. Co-Chairman of the annual international conference Diffusion in Solids and Liquids (DSL). In the selection of the most cited scientists worldwide, based on Scopus database, it was highlighted in the top 2% of the most influential researchers worldwide.
